To get rid of someone you dislike in the US has never been easier. All you need to know is where the person is or will be, and three digits: 9-1-1. Here is the three-step guide to offing your nemesis for free:
Step 1: Call the police, and make up some bogus claim involving the person.
Step 2: Wait for the police to arrive.
Step 3: Profit.
Best of all, there will be no collateral damage and nobody can claim you were behind it. Don’t worry, the friendly officers that pull the trigger for you will not face any consequences either. After all, they are the law.
The differences between the police in the US and Sweden is crazy. Or the US and any European country really. Here the police are taught how to defuse a hostile situation, while in the US it seems they still party like it is the wild wild west; shoot first and ask questions later.
The Guardian have looked at numbers from around the world and the result is scary: In the first 24 days of 2015, police in the US fatally shot more people than police did in England and Wales, combined, over the past 24 years.
It’s not hard to find news articles and videos of police shooting homeless people, dogs, pedestrians, victims of car crashes and even 12 year old kids, and in just about all of these cases no charges are pressed against the officers involved as they were apparently acting with the best intentions. What a load of bull.
Sweden is quite peaceful. Sure we have gangs shooting at each other and throwing the occasional hand grenade, but we also hold killers responsible. If there is a possibility that everybody could walk away from a situation alive that is the path to take. A police officer discharging his or her weapon without trying to defuse the situation in a non-lethal fashion would be charged like any other killer, such as this officer (link in Swedish) that was convicted for shooting a suspected boat thief.
And how many cops are shot dead by criminals here? The total tally is one since 2005. Don’t believe me? Have a look at the Online Memorial for Fallen Swedish Police Officers — over the last 10 years, car accidents have been the number one cause of fatalities.
Another example would be the The UK police. They are quite confident in their use of mace and tasers, to such extent that not even chasing the police with a machete while yelling “kill me now” will make these heroic people lose their calm and start discharging their weapons. Even the terrorist that went stabbing people in the London subway yelling “this is for Syria” got to experience this first hand.
