It’s Christmas time again, so here is a list of organizations and groups that could use your support! Donations as well as the merchandise most of these have to offer makes for great Christmas presents for friends, family and the world!
It might be worth clarifying that this is not something that stuffs my pockets. All links will take you straight to the donation pages or merchandise stores without any affiliate links or percentages being tapped. EFF – Electronic Freedom Foundation
Donate to EFF to help keep the Internet free. The EFF has previously sued the NSA for its spying practices, and have battled numerous plots to restrict your freedom online. With Net Neutrality yet again in danger, they could use your donations!
Sea Shepherd Global
Sea Shepherd takes a hands-on approach to preserving aquatic life being threatened by human actions, such as the Japanese and Icelandic whaling and more. Donate to Sea Shepherds to help them actively try to stop the hunt of animals threatened to become extinct by human hands.
WWF: World Wide Fund for Nature
WWF’s mission is to stop the degradation of our planet’s natural environment, and build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. By supporting them you help stop the extinction of endangered species, and help steer the planet onto a more sustainable path for humans and animals alike.
Svenska Rovdjursföreningen
This organization is fighting to save the Swedish wolf from extinction, as well as the Lynx and more. Hunters are persistently poaching (and even legally hunting) these magnificent animals, leading to a weakened genetic pool that strongly threatens their existence.
Donate (in Swedish, 50kr minimum, approx ~$5 USD.) There is also merchandise available.
Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science
The Richard Dawkins Foundation is working for a secular society, fighting against creationism being taught in schools and other nonsense caused by religious extremism. If you donate before the 31th of December, your donation will be matched and doubled (up to $250K)
HSI: Humane Society International
Humane Society International is one of the only international animal protection organizations in the world working to protect all animals — including animals in laboratories, farm animals, companion animals, and wildlife. Your donations will help animals all over the world, such as the dogs in the picture, saved from a South Korean dog meat farm.
